Last Wednesday was my 31st birthday. Having just one day all about me is clearly not enough, so I usually have a Birthday Week of festivitas and celebration of me. So what everyone just goes along with that? They have to. I feel very strongly about this 😉
So my actual birthday was rather boring. I mean what can you really do on a Wednesday? I went to work, then to the post office to collect some awesome stuff (that I had bought myself but when it arrives on your birthday it’s a present, right?)
So we ordered sushi, drank some wine and played Exploding Kittens. I’ve said it before. I love Kickstarter.
Then it was more or less business as usual until the weekend! Saturday we went to an underground museum thing that had a very Tolkienesque feel to it. I dressed rather casually in All Stars, shorts and a tshirt and for once I was the underdressed one 😉 Everyone else was in fancy dresses because they were sure I’d be too hahah. Oh well, it’s healthy I suppose. Besides I wanted to wear my Schwings 🙂
There was also some sound installation that sounded very much likes elves singing.
Then the zoo and afterwards we went out for dinner and drinks. Lots of drinks. And a few more.
Sunday we had a tea party 🙂 But that couldn’t last all day so I dressed down a little bit from my very fancy frock and went to Tivoli.

I had cheddar popcorn for “breakfast”. It was delicious. I don’t eat breakfast so technically it was lunch. Or just a snack.
And pizza, bruschetta and Ben & Jerrys for lunch. I had caramel chew chew, Mikkel had some chocolate stuff. Clearly.
Then we saw some fishies #badaquariumselfie
Aaand this happened. I’m such a lady.
In case you’re wondering what’s going on in the first picture, I’m growling: I’m awaited in Valhallaaaa!
So this is me being all adult on my birthday weekend. My actual party won’t be until August 29th. So I guess it’ll be a Birthday Month, yeah? 😉
This busy weekend also meant I didn’t get much reading done. Boo. But I’m currently reading The Assassins Blade (the prequel to Throne of Glass) and loving it! I was told it was best to read the prequel before starting ToG so I have waited starting the series until I got my hands on it. I am so looking forward to those books! I’m sure the fuzz is deserved!
